Multiple sources indicate that Guardiola has made a final decision to leave his role as Manchester City manager at the end of the 2025/2026 season, one year before his contract was set to expire in 2027. Gattuso had taken charge of the Azzurri in June 2025, replacing Luciano Spalletti, but stepped down after the team failed to qualify for the World Cup.
