Audi has revealed the interior of its upcoming flagship SUV, the Q9, offering a first look at a cabin designed to redefine spaciousness and exclusivity. The largest SUV from the German automaker prioritizes comfort for families, business travel, and long-distance journeys, with a focus on premium materials and innovative technology.

The Q9’s interior stands out for its generous seven-seat layout, with optional electrically operated doors—a first for any Audi model. These doors can be opened via key, the myAudi app, or the MMI system, and feature perimeter sensors that prevent them from opening into obstacles, cyclists, or approaching pedestrians, adding convenience and safety in tight parking spaces.

**Seating Designed for Maximum Comfort**
Space is the defining characteristic of the Q9, immediately evident in the seat design. An optional six-seat configuration offers business-class comfort, with the middle row featuring two electrically adjustable individual seats equipped with active ventilation for both cushion and backrest. Up front, the luxury atmosphere is enhanced by ventilation and massage functions on the sport seats with the plus trim. For larger families, the seven-seat setup allows the second-row bench to accommodate child seats. The third-row seats can be folded individually via electric controls, offering flexibility to prioritize passenger space or cargo storage.
**Effortless Entry with Power Doors**
For the first time in an Audi, all doors can be operated electrically. The system uses a wide range of obstacle-detecting sensors to stop the door if there isn’t enough clearance, proving especially useful in narrow parking spots or when detecting approaching cyclists and other road users.
**A Panoramic Atmosphere**
The panoramic glass roof, standard on the Q9, spans approximately 1.5 square meters and opens fully for an open-air experience. When parked, the roof automatically becomes opaque to hide the interior, and reverts to the previous setting when the car restarts. Depending on the trim level, the roof features 84 LEDs capable of illuminating it in any of 30 available colors, coordinated with the ambient lighting.
Inside, the Q9 combines interactive interior lighting with an upgraded Bang & Olufsen premium audio system featuring 4D sound. Building on the previous 3D system, it adds speakers in the headrests, enabling personal calls, navigation prompts, and immersive surround sound without distracting other passengers.
**A Carefully Curated Material Palette**
Audi has selected a harmonious and high-quality range of materials and colors. The Q9 introduces new fabric and wood trim options, including wool, alpaca fiber, Dinamica microfiber, leather blends, synthetic leather, and Nappa leather. Decorative inlays feature fine-pore natural ash wood in silk beige, natural lime structure, or carbon fiber fabric with basalt gray details. A reduced use of glossy surfaces in favor of matte and textured materials ensures a premium aesthetic while minimizing fingerprints.
The largest Audi SUV also offers generous and thoughtfully integrated storage solutions. The redesigned central console provides flexibility alongside modern device-charging options, including two wireless charging pads and USB-C ports delivering up to 100 watts.
The Q9 is set to launch in approximately two months, but it already makes one thing clear: the journey begins the moment you step inside.
