The Toronto Raptors announced Friday that forward Brandon Ingram underwent surgery to address a heel spur in his right foot. The procedure was performed by Dr. Martin O’Malley at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
According to the team, Ingram is expected to make a full recovery and should be available when training camp begins in September. The 27-year-old earned his second NBA All-Star selection last season after averaging 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists over 77 games as a starter. He also recently committed to Toronto by signing a three-year, $120 million contract extension during the previous offseason.
