The Samsung Lions stormed to their eighth consecutive victory on Wednesday, marking the first time in 12 years that the club has achieved such a feat, powered by a go-ahead grand slam from Jeon Byung-woo in the eighth inning that sealed a commanding 9-1 win over the LG Twins at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.

Jeon Byung-woo stepped to the plate and crushed a 1-2 slider from Jang over the left-field wall for his third home run of the season — the third grand slam of his career — putting Samsung ahead 5-1.
