The countdown is on: just 34 days remain until the 2026 World Cup kicks off.
Starting this Monday, May 11, the national teams competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup across Mexico, Canada, and the United States will begin announcing their player selections. Each country has until early June to submit its final 26-player roster to FIFA. On June 2, the governing body will release the full list of all 48 participating nations’ squad members.
Most countries have already confirmed their announcement dates, while others have yet to reveal their schedules. Brazil will unveil its 26 chosen athletes on May 18 in Rio de Janeiro. The tournament itself begins on June 11 with the opening match between Mexico and South Africa.
